Anthropology

Art

Schedule a meeting by signing up in the appointment notebook in the Art office, e-mailing Vivian Wilson, or calling x 4807. This is advisable over directly contacting the professor.
Biblical Studies

Most Biblical Studies advisors have switched to online office hours. You may set up a student account at http://wisdom.biola.edu/admin/OfficeHoursBiblicalStudies/ by clicking on “First Time Student Registration” and creating a username and password. You may click on the name of your advisor and reserve a green space of available time. If your advisor does not have online office hours, email him or sign up on his door for an appointment. If you do not know who your advisor is, contact Tammy at x 4819.
Biological Sciences

To set up appointments with Dr. Cruzen, call Susan Lopez at x 4767. All the other professors set up their own appointments, so you may either e-mail or call them directly.

Sophomores, juniors and seniors may see the following advisors, depending on your area of emphasis:

Business

If you’re a lower division student, you can check her office hours and sign up with Kenea right outside of her office. Her office is in Room 115 in the Business Building. When you have completed the lower division requirements and are accepted into the program, Kenea will typically send you an acceptance letter indicating who your new advisor is.

Computer Science

Dr. Shieu-Hong Lin is the primary advisor for Computer Science. Come by the office to see if Dr. Lin is available. You can also schedule an appointment with Dr. Lin through Bubbs.
Education - Teaching Preparation Program

If you are interested in becoming an elementary or secondary teacher, please call the School of Education at ext. 4843 to schedule an appointment with Melinda Soto or Jamie Stunkard. If you are a current undergraduate in the Liberal Studies major, an advisor will be assigned to you during First Year Seminar or LEDU301 Introduction to Teaching class.
Students who have other academic majors will need to meet with an advisor in their major department as well as an advisor in the School of Education.
English

Open to all undergraduate majors. An internship in a local law office, arranged by Dr. Peters, is recommended prior to graduation. Three units may be earned.
Psychology

You may sign up for advising in the psychology appointment book kept on the front counter of the Psychology Office or call Jennifer Wilkerson to schedule an appointment. As of Fall 2009, freshman advisors will be Michelle Shepherd and Dan Pallesen, who will be the First Year Seminar professors for Psychology. When you become a sophomore, you will be reassigned to a different academic advisor. If you do not know who your advisor is, you may call Jennifer. Students may change advisors at any time.

Sociology

You may contact either Jeanile Plett (secretary), Brad Christerson (Chair) or LaDawn Prieto (Asst. Prof.) You may contact Jeanile by phone, Bubbs, or in person; for Spring 2008, her hours are currently 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. Generally, Jeanile and the professors deal with students on a "walk-in" basis, so no appointment is necessary (though you are welcome to schedule appointments.)
