Annual Reunion
The School of Education holds annual reunions during Biola University’s Founders Week, the last week of February. Each reunion features updates of Biola alumni, an “Education Biola Alumni of the Year” speaker, a catered gourmet dinner, door prizes and other surprises. We’d love to have you join us. Please hold the last Sunday night in February for this event.

10/20/08 Graduate School Fair
Considering Graduate School? We invite you to visit the admissions representatives from over 40 Graduate, Professional Schools and Seminaries in southern California and throughout the U.S. Join us along the Fluor Fountain walkway on Monday, October 20th, from 10:30am to 2:30pm. This is your opportunity to ask the recruiters questions, and find out what schools are looking for in graduate candidates. No charge to attend event.
11/6/08 Emerging Leaders Institute in Sacramento (space limited, approximately $230)
This 16-hour, one-day event includes round trip flights, a whirlwind tour of the Capitol Building, a visit to the California Department of Education, meetings related to curriculum, assessment, and legislation; and networking meetings with state education officials. This tour is directed by Glen Thomas, Ed.D. and June Hetzel, Ph.D., Biola alumna and Dean, and coordinated by Jamie Stunkard. Contact jamie.l.stunkard@biola.edu for more information.
12/15/08 Student Teacher Celebration (space limited, secure reservations, $20 dinner)
This dinner event features presentations and highlights of all our student teachers by our Director of Teacher Education, Deborah Taylor, Ph.D., and our Secondary Education professor, Fred Ramirez, Ph.D. Enjoy a catered meal by Bon Appetit and enjoy the opportunity of congratulating Biola’s newest teachers and saying “hello” to your former professors. 12/17/08 M.A.Ed. Dinner (space limited, secure reservations, $25 dinner)
This event features each of our graduating M.A.Ed. students and descriptions of their capstones (exam, project, or thesis). This event is emceed by Tim Stranske, Ph.D., Director of the M.A.Ed. The evening includes live music and a class speaker nominated by the faculty. Come and enjoy hearing about what our latest M.A.Ed. graduates are doing and say “hello” to your former professors. reservations necessary for job applicants) Date to be announced
Each year Biola University’s Office of Career Development, in conjunction with the School of Education, hosts a Teacher Job Fair. If you are looking for your first teaching position, re-entering the job market after some time off, or making a transition, this event features 25-50 public and private school districts. The event is held on Biola’s campus and normally lasts for several hours. Booths are set up for each school or district. Distribute your resumes, network, and/or pick up applications. If you are representing your school or district and seeking applicants, please make reservations well in advance.
