International Students

The School of Education offers two degrees suited for international students with teaching experience: the Master of Arts in Education with a Faith-Based Issues Emphasis and the Master of Arts in Education with a Personalized Emphasis.

Because the Master of Arts in Education program at Biola University is designed for experienced teachers, international students who apply to the program must verify prior teaching experience.

International students in the Master of Arts in Education program are eligible to take specified teaching methodology coursework as electives. These electives for elementary and secondary teachers will help familiarize you with American teaching methods and American curriculum:
