Courses – Fifth Year Program Route

The Master of Arts in Education with a Teaching Emphasis (Fifth Year Program Route) is a 38-unit program that can be completed in 2–3 years while teaching full time. The program has four distinct elements:

  • A core of initial and advanced education courses (21 units)
  • A concentration of fifth year program coursework (15 units)
  • A professional development module (1 unit)
  • A capstone experience or comprehensive exam (1 unit)
