Application Process
During the application season (March-May for the fall, and September-November for the spring), prospective students who have indicated an interest in applying for the upcoming semester are given the option to receive a weekly email. We call these our "MOL Mondays," and they serve as a step-by-step application guide. The MOL Mondays are also available in a single PDF document upon request, for those who do not wish to receive the weekly email. The MOL Mondays answer questions like: How do I order transcripts? How long should my testimony be? Why is a resume required? Prospective students who use the tips and advice given in these emails are much more likely to submit a clear and succinct appliction that can be processed quickly. If you would like to sign up to receive these emails, please contact Sarah Ailes, the MOL Recruiting Coordinator.
Click these links to access the online application or download the application to fill out by hand. Once Biola has received the application, you will be assigned to a graduate admissions counselor, who will contact you to confirm receipt of the application.
In addition to the application, students will need to submit the following items to complete their file:
- Current resume highlighting leadership experience
- Statement of career objectives (no more than one page long)
- Transcripts from all past undergrad and graduate work (must be sent directly from institution to Biola)
- Summary statement of past leadership experience
- GPA statement if GPA is lower than 3.0
Admission Deadlines
All application items must be received no later than the following deadlines:
- Fall semester: July 1
- Spring semester: December 1
An application fee of $45 must accompany each application. This fee is nonrefundable. We encourage you to apply four to six months ahead of your expected enrollment date.
Once all file items have been received, the MOL office will schedule a personal interview with you as the last step in the process.
Applications may be submitted after deadlines, but will be considered as space is available and if time allows (a late fee of $10 in addition to the $45 application fee will apply).
Admission Decisions
After the personal interview has taken place, the Office of Graduate Admissions and the MOL will review the application file. Notification of the admissions decision will be sent by mail.
Upon Acceptance
Applicants who have been granted acceptance are required to remit an enrollment deposit of $50. This amount is applicable toward the total expenses during the student's last semester of enrollment, but is forfeited if the applicant fails to report for the semester for which application was made. Please make checks payable to Biola University and forward to the Office of Graduate Admissions.
