Designed for those who are interested primarily in graduate school.
Social Science
Broad major designed for those who wish to pursue graduate work in the social sciences: anthropology, sociology, political science, history, economics.
Political Science
Designed for those interested in government, graduate school, and journalism.
Social Science: Public Administration Designed for those who are pursuing careers in public service, law, etc.
Social Science: Geography Designed for those who with to pursue graduate school, humanitarian work, or careers in government.
Social Science: Other Emphases Individually tailored majors for those who want to concentrate in one of the other social sciences; must be approved by the major program advisor for Anthropology, Business, Sociology, for example.
Social Science: Secondary Education
Designed for those who wish to teach in the California public schools. It is an accredited, highly regulated dual major in history and teaching. This is double the work, but it moves you more quickly towards certification. There are large numbers of students involved in this major throughout California, so you must really want to teach to pursue this program.
