Each entering class of freshmen is divided into six groups. Four of the groups are in Morgan House, and two of the groups are in Johnson House. A House only refers to the arrangement of curriculum within Torrey. Morgan House is arranged chronologically, and Johnson House is arranged thematically. A house does not refer to a place of residence. Normally you will stay in this group for your entire time in Torrey. The camaraderie that develops as you spend many hours each week together will help you grow as a scholar and a Christian. You will learn to hold each other intellectually accountable at a level rarely attained in a typical college class. You probably will make friends for life.
