Aaron Kleist

Raised in on the island of Saipan, as well as in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, Dr. Aaron Kleist pursued a Master's in Comparative Literature in the (equally-exotic) climes of Indiana University before receiving his Ph.D. in Old English Literature from the University of Cambridge. Since joining the department in 2001, he has taught such dubious courses as “Castles, Kings, and Conquest,” “The Rose and the Sword: Legends of King Arthur,” and “Knights, Troubadours, and Damsels in Distress,” as well as Chaucer, Medieval Literature, Old and Middle English, Beowulf, and a variety of courses on Shakespeare. He fences sabre, rides a motorcycle, and is married to the woman of his dreams.
