Dale Sprowl has been teaching freshmen Critical Thinking and Writing at Biola since 1999. During the summer she administrates the University of California (Irvine) Young Writer's Project for K-12 students—a program designed to enrich and enhance student writing. She received her B.A. in humanities and history, and her M.A.T., from Pepperdine. Her lessons appear in several University of California (Irvine) texts for teachers including: Practical Ideas for Teaching Writing as a Process, Thinking/Writing: Fostering Critical Thinking through Writing and Reading, and Thinking and Writing about Multicultural Literature. In the Spring of 2007, her poetry chapbook, The Colors of Water will be released. She is married, has three children (two in college), and lives in Newport Beach. |
