Larry Smith

Larry Smith majored in marine biology, before being saved, and then transferred to Seattle Pacific University. While there he jumped into an English Education program and graduated in 1970. From there, he taught middle school, and soon received an M.A. from the University of Washington. Later, he married a Biola graduate, had three kids who went to Biola, kept teaching high school, directed a Younglife Club, spent two years with Wycliffe in New Guinea, taught prisoners, moved to Los Angeles, and became an adjunct professor at several junior colleges. However, after latching on to Biola, he now teaches 110 and 230 courses (the Literature of Los Angeles). Larry also has season tickets for the Dodgers, lives in Highland Park, and takes Biola University students to the Middle East every summer.
