Biola's Service-Focused Spanish Minor

A minor in Spanish requires a minimum of 18 units. One approved program-related service learning project is required.

• HUFS315: Spanish Conversation and Composition (3 units)
  
  
• HUFS320: Spanish Conversation, Grammar and Composition (3 units)
  Service project required.
  
  
• HUFS410: Spanish American Literature (3 units)
  
  
• HUFS440: Advanced Applications (3 units)
  Fieldwork required.
  
  

Elective courses (one or more)

• HUFS420: Spanish Literature (3 units)
  May be taken concurrently with HUFS 320.
  
  
• HUFS450: Faith, Life, and Culture in Latin America (3 units)
  Field work required.
  
  
• HIST312: History of Latin America (3 units)
  
  
• INCS332: Peoples of the World (Latin America only) (3 units)
  
  

Sequence of prerequisites:

• HUFS210 or 220 serve as prerequisites for HUFS315 and 320.
  
  
• HUFS315 and 320 serve as prerequisites for HUFS410, 420, and 430.
  
  
• Any two of HUFS410, 420, or 430 are required for HUFS460.
  
  
• HUFS 420 and 430 are required for HUFS465.
  
  
• HUFS440 is required for HUFS490.
  
  
• HUFS490 normally requires senior standing or special permission.
