On Sunday, February 24, 2:00 p.m., the Biola Honors String Quartet gave a concert at The Richard Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda, CA, as part of the library's Free Family Concert Series. 
The Conservatory is pleased to announce that in October of 2007 the
Conservatory began hosting a new piano recital series featuring
internationally acclaimed American artists. The series is sponsored by the
Adams Foundation. 
Alumna Katie Van Kooten (B.M. 2001) made her US Opera debut in June of 2007 singing the role of Marguerite in "Faust" with the Metropolitan Opera. 
Composition faculty member and major motion picture film orchestrator and
composer, Mike Watts, with composition majors Brian Lemos, Sam Smythe
and Jeff Swingle, on the sound stage of the film “Evan Almighty,” which
was released in 2007. 
Don and Jo Bishop have established an endowed scholarship fund for Conservatory music majors. Mr. Bishop stated, “We’d like the scholarships to go to students who have a real love for Christ and want to use their gifts for God’s glory whether in performance or just in life.” 
The Chorale has released a new recording of choral works entitled: Sing
Unto God. The repertoire is diverse from Renaissance to Brahms to familiar Folk Song to Spirituals. 
DR. ROBERT DENHAM JOINS COMPOSITION FACULTY
Dr. Robert Denham joins the faculty as Assistant Professor of Composition, and as Area Coordinator for Composition. Dr. Denham is a native of the San Francisco Bay area and a Biola alumnus, earning a Bachelor of Music degree in trumpet performance in 1997.

DR. ANGELA PARK JOINS EDUCATION FACULTY
Dr. Angela Park joins the Conservatory faculty as Assistant Professor of Music Education, and Area Coordinator for Music Education. Dr. Park is a native of Seattle, Washington.
