We would like to invite you to consider becoming a special patron of music at Biola University by becoming a member of Friends of the Conservatory.  This growing group of donors has played an increasingly vital role in our program, enabling us to bring guest artists of high quality to our campus and community, and providing financial support to help us complete important projects, such as stage lighting for performances and development of a new, cutting edge web site for the Conservatory.  To join, please contact the Conservatory of Music at (562) 903-4892, or print out the form below.

  2 value passes for the 2007/2008 concert season
  Name listed in concert programs as a Friend of the Conservatory unless directed otherwise
  $120 or $150 tax deduction (deductible status determined by actual value of 2 passes:  $130 regular, $100 sr. citizen/60 or older)

Dr. Jeanne Robison

Dr. Jeanne Robison received her bachelor's degree in music education and her master's degree in voice performance at Kent State University where she studied voice with Donna Pegors and opera with James Stuart. She continued her graduate studies, earning a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Voice Performance at the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music, where she studied opera direction under Italo Tajo and voice with Nancy Carr and Patricia Berlin. While at CCM, she directed scenes for both the Opera Studio and Opera Workshop, and was the first doctoral candidate to choose opera production and direction as her cognate area. She has initiated opera workshop programs at Delta State U, John Brown University and Biola University, and has directed many productions including Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance, Patience, The Mikado and H.M.S. Pinafore, Mozart's Marriage of Figaro and Don Giovanni. Dr. Robison has sung numerous roles with college opera workshops and professional companies, including the Ohio Light Opera Company, Duluth-Superior Opera Association, Des Moines Metro Summer Opera Festival, and the CCM Opera Theatre and Opera Studio, and has performed with numerous regional orchestras in Ohio, Mississippi, and Arkansas. In 1998, she sang the role of Donna Elvira in the Rome Festival's production of Don Giovanni, and the Queen of the Night with the Opera Festival di Roma. Dr. Robison has taught voice on the college level at the University of Minnesota, Duluth, Mansfield University (PA), Delta State University (MS), and John Brown University (AR). She is currently Coordinator of Vocal Studies at Biola University.
