This long-standing, mid-day concert series tradition presents
guest artists and university faculty and students. It brings to the campus
and the community a special opportunity to hear outstanding performances
from a variety of artists. The half-hour time frame enables
many to enjoy an uplifting mid-day break from the routine of work

Music for Calvin Dyck is a passion, a profession and a pleasure. He has studied at Biola University and the University of Southern California where he received his Doctorate of Musical Arts in Violin Performance. Mr. Dyck has traveled around the world with various musical ensembles and enjoys a wide variety of engagements, including playing for musicals, weddings, films and recording sessions. Currently, he is the concertmaster for the Vancouver Island Symphony in Nanaimo, B.C. Mr. Dyck has taught at Scripps College and Biola University in California, and at Kwantlen College and Trinity Western University in British Columbia. He has released two recordings: Meditation and This Shining Night. They were produced by MCC, and the profits of the sales benefit “Supportive Care Services,” which provides care and services to people with disabilities. |
