 What
happens when six of the finest male singers at Biola University
join together in a cappella harmony?
The King’s Men! All year long, these men perform music in
a variety of styles in a variety of settings and places, representing
Biola, to be sure, but as they do, revealing their hearts for the
Lord as well. These men are dedicated to God first, so whoever
the audience and whatever the occasion, their desire is that God
be extolled through their talents.
The King's Men are provided with a scholarship and perform several
concerts a semester both on and off campus in addition to participating
as part of the Chorale spring tour. Their style of literature is
vast, ranging from classical works by Morten Lauridsen to popular
works arranged by M-Pact, Glad, and Walt Harrah. The group also
performs a mix of sacred and secular literature, and often gears
their performances for the age level and interest of their audiences.
Recordings include the 1999 release Pure and Simple
and two 2000 releases Before the Throne and Christmas.
