Every February, the Biola Opera Theatre presents fully staged productions of major operas, operettas, and musicals accompanied by the Biola Symphony Orchestra.

Since its inception a decade ago, the Opera Theatre has produced HMS Pinafore, Cosi fan tutte, The Marriage of Figaro, The Magic Flute, Carousel, and Don Giovanni. In addition to the productions, prepared during the January interterm, students cast in the opera are required to attend a class in the fall in which they participate in acting excercises involving pantomime, improvisation, relaxation techniques, and movement excercises.
