Theory/Composition Area Coordinator
 Robert Denham will be joining the faculty as Assistant Professor of Composition and as Area Coordinator for Composition. He is a native of the San Francisco Bay area and a Biola alumnus. He holds a DMA in Composition from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music where he studied with Michael Fiday, Joel Hoffman and Ricardo Zohn-Muldoon. He holds a MA in Composition from UCLA where he studied with Roger Bourland, Ian Krouse, and the late Jerry Goldsmith. He earned a BM from Biola in Trumpet Performance. He comes to Biola from West Texas A&M University where he taught theory and composition. His works have been performed by the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music Philharmonia, the Los Angeles Flute Quartet, the Orion Saxophone Quartet, and the Academia Musicale di San Casciano Orchestra e Coro di bambini (Florence, Italy). He has won numerous competitions, including the Havar International Competition, the Gluck Brass Quintet Composition Competition, and was a 1998 recipient of the Stanley Wilson Composer’s Award. His works are published by Falls House Press, Imagine Music Publishing, Pelican Music Publishing, and Tuba Uphonium Press.
