A Heart for Romania

Anna Sorrels (05') trumpet performance major and recipient of the Gardner Service through Sacred Music Award from the Conservatory of Music is teaching trumpet lessons in San Diego and coaching brass players at a local public high school.

Last summer, she traveled to Romania, where for the month of June, she worked with a small missions team of women at the new Girls Transition House run by Heart to Heart Ministries.

Anna was joined by Conservatory alumna, Laurel Jones, violin. Together they performed in concerts designed to help connect the orphaned girls with their community.  Anna plans on continuing to travel regularly to Romania and hopes to continue to include Biola grads and students in her work abroad.
