DR. ANGELA PARK JOINS EDUCATION FACULTY

Dr. Angela Park joins the Conservatory faculty as Assistant Professor of Music Education, and Area Coordinator for Music Education.  Dr. Park is a native of Seattle, Washington.  She completed her DMA in Music Education at the University of Southern California. She holds a MM in Music Education from USC, and earned two bachelor degrees from the University of Washington in Music Education and Cello Performance. Dr. Park is currently serving on the adjunct music faculty at USC and Rio Hondo College. She taught K-5 music while in Seattle, and taught for two years in a specialized intervention program created for the Magnolia School District in Anaheim, CA, for academically at-risk K-6 students. She has taught cello privately for 17 years, and created and directed the California Young Musicians Cello Choir.  She is in the process of developing a pilot music program for the ABC School District (Cerritos, CA), collaborating with the district’s arts coordinator to create a unique, California standards-based curriculum for the music component in arts education. Dr. Park is married and her husband, Andrew, is a practicing attorney in the Los Angeles area.

  Angela Park taught in a specialized intervention program cfor academically at-risk K-6 students.
