Speakers
Katrina Greene
Dr. Katrina T. Greene is an Associate Professor of Anthropology and Intercultural Studies in the Cook School of Intercultural Studies at Biola University, where she has taught for 20 years and leads the International and Community Development concentration and minor. Dr. Greene is a socio-cultural anthropologist who has engaged in on-going field research of women and the socio-economic development as well as empowerment of communities in several of the black townships of Cape Town, South Africa for over 25 years, including research as a Fulbright Scholar. Her interests, with regard to her multiple publications and numerous conference presentations, include gender and development issues, community development, economic empowerment, and women’s entrepreneurship in the Global South. She is a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Yorba Linda, CA where is a member of the Mass Choir, Singles Ministry, and Hospitality Team.
