Biola loves Grandparents!

It's our joy to welcome the grand-relatives of our Biolans on to campus for a "day in the life" of our students. From chapel and class visits to enjoying a meal in the Caf, we cannot wait to host you on campus!

Registration opens February 14th.

Open All Day (8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.) at the Fireplace Pavilion

Scheduled Activities

8:00–9:00 a.m. Coffee with Dr. Corey in Kim Dining Room (located inside the Cafeteria)

Courtesy in part to the Lehman Stewart Society, guests are welcome to enjoy a morning of fellowship and a delicious continental breakfast with our one and only, President Dr. Barry Corey. Space is limited.

*Please note: Students cannot use their meal plans for this event and must register if they plan to attend.

9:30–10:20 a.m. - Chapel in Calvary Chapel

Join the Biola community as we worship God together.

10:30 a.m.– 11:45 a.m. - Class Visits

    • Foundations of Christian Thought with Dr. Timothy Pickavance (Calvary Chapel, #46)

    • Biblical Backgrounds with Dr. Carmen Imes (Talbot East 007, #45)

    • Life and Letters of Paul with Dr. Kenneth Berding (Myers 103, #47)

    • The Rhetorical Act with Professor Micheal Matchell (Talbot East 108, #45)

    • Introduction to Sociology with Professor LaDawn Johnson (Sutherland Hall 118, #39)

12 p.m–1:00 p.m. - Lunch in The Cafeteria

Experience a true Biola student experience with a delicious meal in the Cafeteria a.k.a “The Caf.”

Please note: Students using their meal plan for themselves or their guests should NOT purchase a ticket for “Lunch in the Cafeteria”

12:00- 2:00 p.m. Activity Options:

  • Photobooth open from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m.
    • Post for a photo with your Biolan and get it printed right there at NO COST

  • Campus Tours (depart from the Welcome Center)
  • Legacy Literacy: Estate Planning for Everyone in  Kim Dining Room (located inside the Cafeteria)

     FREE workshop with Estate Lawyer, Ella Gentile that will cover:

  •  How to start the process of creating a will and trust

  • How these documents can be used to protect your loved ones

  • Common misconceptions
