Parent Committees are a branch of the Parent Council. This is an opportunity to serve other parents, help prospective parents make an informed decision and support the mission of Biola.

Events Committee

Admissions Events
  • Attend University Day (November) and Spring Preview Day (February), and participate in parent question and answer sessions and speak at Parent Banquet and Breakfast.
Opening Weekend
  • Help with Parenting 101 Seminar during Opening Weekend
Parent Weekend
  • Help with set up and registration table during Parent Weekend
Local High School Events
  • Act as a resource person in local communities (churches, college fairs).

Communication Committee

Parents in Prayer
  • Participate on a regular basis with Biola "family" prayer requests, by way of monthly e-mails and contacting other Biola parents.
  • Lead Parent Weekend Prayer Walk.
  • Coordinate Day of Prayer parent activities.
Parent Blogs
  • Participate in parent online blogs to support Biola's recruiting efforts
Keyboard Pal
  • Communicate with current and prospective parents through e-mail.
Parent-on-Call
  • Respond to parent questions and concerns by phone.
