Favorite Class:
My favorite class this semester has been Mass Media Law and Ethics. This is a journalism class I am taking for my specific concentration in my Cinema and Media Arts Major. Even though it is a Journalism class, it has helped me appreciate and understand the film world better. I have learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed going to this class. My professor is extremely engaging and provides a unique teaching style that is informative but fun.
Favorite Admissions Event:
My favorite Admissions Event has been Biola Bound. As a Social Media Representative I do not always get to have face to face interaction with our prospective students, so Biola Bound was so much fun! I loved being able to connect with the different students and help show them my home. I especially loved getting to be in group chats with them and just hang out with them around campus. It is so cool now following their journey on such a person level and knowing I had an impact.
Favorite On-Campus Activity:
It is so hard to pick one thing around campus, but if I had to it would be hanging out at Heritage Cafe. Of course I love drinking coffee there but I also love just relaxing and doing homework there, catching up with people and just being a part of the Biola community.
Favorite Semester Memory:
One of my favorite memories from this semester was actually on Biola Bound when we went to Disneyland. Disneyland is a place where I have made so many amazing memories that I hold dear to my heart. It is one of my favorite places and getting to go with my Ambassador family was so much fun. I loved getting to bond with my family and experience my favorite place with some of my favorite people. It is a day I will never forget.
Biggest Lesson Learned:
This semester I learned how much I need God. So many times I would try to do things my own way and I would fail every time. I learned how much I need to spend time with God and take care of my self. I realized I thrive when I put my spiritual life first. When I focus on my relationship with God I am able to perform well academically, take care of myself physically, and stay in a good place mentally.
Favorite Bible Class:
My favorite Bible class this semester was my Theology 1 class with Dr. Thoennes. This class has challenged how I look at God, people, and Jesus. This class also made me realize how much I put my identity in my grades. I have been convicted on how I treat people but also how I treat myself. This class was academically challenging but spiritually rewarding.
