An enthusiastic audience of 600 pastors, lay-leaders, youth, and children, enjoyed worship, plenary messages, workshops and other special programs, at the 29th Biola Hispanic Conference, on April 12th. Sponsored by Biola and Talbot School of Theology, the conference is for Spanish-speaking evangelicals from the greater southern California region, as well as English-speaking youth.
Dr. Jaime Mirón, a Christian evangelist and author with the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association in Portland, Oregon, spoke on the theme "Facing With Christ Life’s Problems."
Workshop leaders included Talbot professor Rex Johnson, Biola Health Center Dr. Phil Lewis, local pastors José Fernández and Lou Delgado, Daniel Bustamante, Director of Youth for Christ in Argentina, Andrés Panasiuk, Latin American Director for Crown Financial Ministries, women’s speakers Rosa Lewis and Marissa Delgado, and youth speaker Ryan Sharp, Associate Pastor and College Director for The Lamb’s Fellowship in Murrieta, CA, and Campus Director of Student Venture (Campus Crusade for Christ).
Representatives from Biola’s Admissions Office presented Biola educational programs, including BOLD, to conference attendees. Representatives from Child Evangelism Fellowship, Pan de Vida Christian Booksellers, Grace Wear Christian clothing, Crown Financial Ministries, and other organizations, displayed their services and products in the Buss Courtyard.
