Angels Stadium in Anaheim was the destination for alumni and friends on Friday, August 28, as 250 guests enjoyed a hotdog tailgate dinner followed by a classic Northern-Southern California rivalry: the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Oakland Athletics.

Senior director of Alumni and Friends Relations Rick Bee, assisted by Advancement division spouses Mike Wise and Andrew Rae, donned a chef’s hat for the evening, grilling up hotdogs and greeting alumni as they went through the line. There was plenty of food and lots of time for conversation during dinner, with background music courtesy of radio station 95.9, the Fish.

Following dinner, guests moved into the stadium, where they joined 700 Biola students to enjoy a game that was a real nail biter, with the Angels coming back in the 7th inning to beat the As by a score of 11-7.
