Nearly 60 Communications Officers from CCCU Colleges and Universities around the country visited Biola's campus June 17-20 for the annual PR & Communications Conference "UNLimited Engagement: Marketing Higher Ed in HIGH DEF."
This conference began with a Hollywood-style hors d'hoeuvres networking reception after which conference attendees "walked the red carpet" to an Opening Dinner and session with David Kinnaman, Biola alum, President of The Barna Group and author of "unChristian."
The conference featured sessions with Public Relations and Communications professionals from agencies such as The DeMoss Group, SimpsonScarborough, Conversantlife and The Collectiv, as well as University Communications Officers presenting on Brand Management, Media Relations, Online Advertising and Social Media Marketing.
Conference attendees also had a chance to see the sights of Southern California, with a Hollywood Tour on a private double-decker bus which took guests from Biola's founding downtown location through Hollywood and Beverly Hills and ending with some free time at The Grove.
The closing dinner of the conference featured a beachy, Southern California-style dinner featuring gourmet cuisine by Bon Appetit and a closing session on web trends and social media marketing with Dan Rupple, former producer of The Late Show with David Letterman and The Price Is Right. All who attended the conference enjoyed the chance to experience true Southern California culture and take in incredible content to offer support and inspire them in their roles at CCCU Colleges and Universities. Conference attendees went home equipped with practical tools to market their institutions with cutting edge online media strategies.
