Nearly 150 alumni and friends of Biola University experienced Los Angeles theater at its best on Tuesday, February 3, enjoying a performance of The Phantom of the Opera at the Pantages Theatre. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s international award-winning musical is the longest running show in Broadway history, and the Biola crowd was overwhelmingly positive in its response to the LA touring company’s production.
According to Deannah Baesel, assistant manager of Advancement Events, “It’s been great serving the Biola community by giving alumni and friends a fun night out. We’re privileged to live in a place where we have so many cultural opportunities to choose from.” Alumnus Adam Shaeffer agrees: “Biola should do more events like that-classy, cultured, yet loads of fun.”
Upcoming Alumni events include Homecoming Weekend, February 20-22 . . . it’s a perfect time to come back to the Biola campus and reconnect with friends and professors! Visit www.biola.edu/alumni/homecoming to find out about the variety of fun events being offered.
Then, on Saturday, February 28, Biola alumni and friends are invited to hear Christian recording artist Chris Tomlin in concert at Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal City Walk. More information is available by clicking here.
