Princess Sikhanyiso Dlamini, the first-born daughter of Mswati III King of Swaziland enrolled at Biola University in 2005. Known as Pashu, she had a typical college experience with untypical hurdles as a princess living in a completely new environment.
Her journey at Biola was transformational as a new believer as she grew to understand God’s word and calling in her life. Biola’s community of believers and theology courses encouraged her relationship with Christ.
As a Communication Studies major, Pashu studied the art of drama and communication while also studying music in Los Angeles.
Her heart lies with the performing arts, something she hopes to take back to Swaziland. She aspires to be a leader in her country through developing a mass communications industry incorporating new media and the performing arts. As the leader of the Swazi maidens, she hopes to give the women hope through new vocational opportunities.
Pashu leaves Biola equipped to impact the world, specifically her country, as an ambassador for Christ. She will be returning to Swaziland to raise up a new generation of leaders.
