On Saturday, September 15, 2012, Biola Athletics celebrated its inaugural Hall of Fame Class with an induction ceremony in the Talbot East Andrews Banquet Room with over 100 guests in attendance.
The first three esteemed inductees to Biola's Athletics Hall of Fame include:
Wade Kirchmeyer ('85)
Two-time all-American in men's basketball who helped Biola to a 59-3 record over two seasons
Becky (Miller) White ('86)
First ever NAIA all-American in two different sports (volleyball and women's basketball) for four straight years
Todd Worrell ('82)
Pitcher in 11 MLB seasons for the Cardinals and Dodgers and winner of the 1986 NL Rookie of the Year Award
After being welcomed by President Barry H. Corey and former men's basketball player Ron Hafer (Alumni Chaplain), guests enjoyed an elegant dinner, award presentations to each of the inductees by Dave Holmquist (Head Men's Basketball Coach and Athletic Director), and closing remarks by Greg Vaughan (Vice President for Enrollment Management). Afterward, guests had the opportunity to take photos with the inductees on the Talbot East Courtyard.
