La Mirada, CA- Biola University Theatre 21 proudly presents the spring production of Mary Zimmerman’s Metamorphoses, directed by Professor Zachary Bortot of Biola’s Theatre program. The production to open April 6 is based on David R. Slavitt's free verse translation of Ovid's classic narrative poem, the Greek myths presented take place around a pool of water, each tale speaking uniquely to the transformative power of love.

When Metamorphoses premiered, Time magazine hailed it as the “theatrical event of the year” and The New York Times raved, "With its emphasis on love, loss and the transforming powers of memory and the imagination . . . the production has been reducing calloused New Yorkers to sobs."

The hardworking, talented students who are a part of this production are: Hannah Hines, Bree Hobbs, Andy Marderian, Donna Park, Daniel Park, Lexi Pasch, Jen Ning Quan, Michael Ramirez, Lydia Safford, Victoria Sanchez, Reagan Smalley, Joey Tereba, and Christian Wilding.

Performance dates: Friday and Saturday nights on April 6, 7 and 13, 14 at 7:30pm, and Sunday matinees on April 8 and 15 at 2:30pm.
