Biola University has secured a contract with a new Biola Store partner — Tree of Life. Beginning August 1, 2021, Tree of Life will assume operations of the Biola Store, Biola’s Print Shop and Mail Services. Starting this fall, the Biola Store will now house the Print Shop and Mail Services in a refreshed space with several new lines of Biola merchandise from top lifestyle brands.
The partnership will bring new features that will benefit students and improve the products currently offered in the store. Their focus is on getting every single student, every single course material, by the first day of class, at an affordable price. To obtain this goal, one of the distinct services the Biola Bookstore will offer to students is a new course material program called Textbook Butler. Textbook Butler is an auto fulfillment service offered to Undergraduate, Graduate and Online Biola students that delivers all required course materials automatically to students before classes start. Incoming students starting in Fall 2021, along with online and graduate students will automatically be included in this program and existing students will have the choice to participate in the program at any time. All students will have the flexibility to opt in or out at any time.
While the administration of the store is being outsourced to Tree of Life, the employees who work in these departments will continue to be Biola employees, receiving all the Biola employee benefits.
Tree of Life plans remodel the Biola Store either before the fall semester or during Christmas break. The remodel will be funded by Tree of Life. They are a privately held company that has served private campuses from coast to coast for over 20 years. The Biola Store was previously managed by Follett.
