LA MIRADA, CALIF. — Two Biola University Christmas productions will celebrate the season this December. Nearly 200 students from the Biola University Conservatory of Music will present “‘A Glorious Morn”’ and Biola Theatre will present a rendition of Charles Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’. The university is honored to welcome Conservatory alumna and International opera artist, Katie Van Kooten (‘01) as the guest artist to perform alongside the Biola Chorale, University Chorus, Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Winds, and other Conservatory ensembles and soloists.
Biola Theatre will present a rendition of Charles Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’ on December 8 at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts with two showings — a matinée at 2:30 p.m. and evening show at 6:30 p.m.
The Christmas spirit continues the next day at 7:00 p.m. when Biola music department performs their multimedia concert. ‘A Glorious Morn’ focuses on the rescue of God’s people through the gift of the perfect Jesus-Emmanuel.
