Programs, Events and Trainings
OFA continuously develops programming and training for faculty in the areas of onboarding/orientation, mentoring/learning communities, pedagogy, writing/scholarship as well as specific programming for female, adjunct and new faculty and academic program chairs and directors.
Support and Representation
In addition to development programs, resources and training, the Faculty Advancement Team consistently works on adjunct and full-time faculty’s behalf to streamline systems and academic administrative procedures, and supports and represents the needs of faculty. The Associate Provost for Faculty Advancement also serves as an ombudsperson for faculty.
Faculty Advancement Newsletters
OFA (faculty.advancement@biola.edu) sends bi-monthly newsletters to both adjunct and full-time faculty with teaching and scholarship resources, and development and grant opportunities.
Faculty Development Advisory Committee (FDAC)
FDAC is established by the Office of the Provost, under the leadership of the Office of Faculty Advancement, in order to honor and support faculty in the following two ways: (1) discern and be responsive to specific needs and interests of faculty, and (2) implement initiatives, policies, and programs that will support the professional development of faculty.
