I received tremendous preparation was from both Torrey Honors College and the Art Department. Together these programs taught me how to critically engage with works of art and culture while also humbly reflecting upon them, assessing their value and then working to create my own works as well. They taught me to be rigorously critical while humbly aware of my own lack of knowledge. In the true sense of the Biblical text I was taught to test the spirits of ideas, artworks and literature. Slowly but surely the skills I started to foster at Biola have grown and helped me become a discerning member of my community who seeks to understand how to improve this world.
