About the Program

The psychology degree is a bachelor of science (B.S.) degree from Biola University. The 40 credits of core major courses cover all areas of applied psychology, giving you a solid foundation to help launch you forward — whether your next step is in the workplace, in ministry or furthering your education.

Biola is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). This is the same agency that grants accreditation to other schools in California such as the University of Southern California, Stanford and local community colleges.

All of our faculty members are highly trained in their respective disciplines. Many are faculty at either Rosemead School of Psychology or Talbot School of Theology, while others are working professionals in the field of psychology.

Our terms are in trimesters, and there are two sessions within each trimester.

The program has been designed to allow highly motivated students to complete all major and Bible courses in as little as 24 months, but it is flexible enough to allow you to work at a pace that will fit into your busy schedule. Speak to your academic advisor to determine your personalized pathway for successfully completing the credits you need.

Please see the psychology degree requirement sheet for all of the general education, elective, major and biblical studies courses required for graduation.

This fully online bachelor's degree is composed of 120 credits, including core major, general education and biblical studies courses. Courses are generally seven weeks long and available online year round, so you can complete your degree anytime from anywhere in the world.

Both major and Bible courses are seven weeks long and are available fully online. You can complete your degree from anywhere. Classes are held year round, with three different trimester start dates.

You will take 18 credits of Bible alongside your core major and general education courses. Another 12 credits are built into your core psychology courses. When you finish your degree, your 30 credits of Bible will qualify you for a minor in Biblical Studies.

The Admissions office and (once you are admitted) your academic advisor can provide guidance on how to complete the requirements you need.
