Join the Singers of the Conservatory of Music in a FREE vocal concert that features the songs of American composer Ben Moore in Lansing Auditorium, Crowell Hall, on Wednesday, March 7th at 7:30 pm.
Reknowned for his lovely and lyrical style, Ben Moore’s music is regarded to be some of the most beautiful American art song written in this generation. His music has been championed by many of the most famous singers in the world including Deborah Voigt, Nathan Gunn, and Susan Graham. Moore’s graceful and stylish music is not only composed to his own lyrics, but also to poems from other authors like James Joyce, Yeats, Robert Louis Stevenson and manyothers. It will melt your heart and inspire you with its elegant beauty!
Metropolitan Opera baritone Richard Zeller, Biola’s Associate professor of Voice and Opera, will sing alongside his students as they perform a recital program featuring songs composed by Ben Moore. These extremely talented young singers range in age from Freshman to Senior and are joined by Professor Zeller and accompanists Hanbo Ma and Gyo Jin Koo.
Join the Zeller Voice studio as they explore together some of America’s most beautiful Songs. All songs will be sung in English. Recital length is approximately one hour and there is FREE ADMISSION… Come join us for an evening of romantic song!!
