This week's special speaker is Matt Lee - Founder and Managing Partner, Triaxiom Capital. Come hear is talk on "Physics, Finance, God & the Universe"
Matt's passions since childhood were always Physics and the stock market. He majored in Physics and also Mathematics at the University of Hawaii, where he is from. He then went to UCLA for a PhD and postdoctoral work in Physics (Theoretical Particle Physics and also Non-Linear Dynamics). It was there he realized he could combine two passions! He first worked at Boeing Satellite Systems as an award-winning systems engineer and analyst focused on modeling, simulation and analysis of satellite design and operation. But quantitative finance called and he made the switch ultimately ending up as a Managing Director of BlackRock as their Global Head of Research Beta Strategies. He currently runs a quantitative hedge fund and resides in San Francisco with his wife and toddler daughter.
