Each week at AfterDark, we gather to worship in music and consider teaching on a broad range of topics from God's Word—an evening planned by the AfterDark student ministry team. Come join us at the end of the day, as we engage with God together in a relaxed and intimate setting.

Erik Thoennes

Erik Thoennes is amazed everyday that God saved him and adopted him into his family. God has blessed him with his godly wife Donna, who has been his faithful ministry partner since they were married in 1989. Erik and Donna have four delightful children Caroline, Paige Samuel, Isaac. Erik has been a professor of theology at Biola and a pastor at Grace Evangelical Free Church of La Mirada for the past 24 years. Before coming to Biola he taught at Wheaton College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Dr Thoennes is committed to teaching theology so that he and his students love God and people more fully and he strives to make the necessary connections between the study of theology, obedience to Jesus and fulfilling the Great Commission.
