This strange Old Testament story resolves Moses' identity issues and underscores the importance of fearing and obeying God. We cannot lead others where we ourselves are unwilling to go.

Carmen Imes
Dr. Imes is associate professor of Old Testament at Biola. She's the author of Bearing God's Name and Being God's Image, and she loves helping students discover the relevance of the Old Testament for the Christian life.
