We are accustomed to think of God as out there--transcendent--which of course He is. But he is also with us, Immanuel, and so is also immanent. And he is in us, and so indwelling. And finally, we are in Him--the ground of our lives. What difference might these presences mean to you and me as in Him we live and move and have our being?

Todd Pickett
Todd Pickett is always so pleased to return to Biola. Todd came to Biola as an English professor 28 years ago, and spent 14 years as the Dean of Spiritual Development and Campus Pastor. Since leaving Biola in April 2023, Todd has been the Pastor and Rector of Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Costa Mesa. It's like Fives at church, he says, and invites everyone reading to visit. He's married to his wife, Dottie, and has two daughters, Carly and Abbey. And two dogs, Henry and Zuma.
