The Office of Student Enrichment & Intercultural Development invites the Biola Community and broader LA/OC community to an engaging symposium discussion on "Church & Politics" led by Chris Butler, pastor, author, and community organizer from Chicago, Illinois. Chris Butler is a speaker from the (&) Campaign, a Christian organization committed to "educate and organize Christians for civic and cultural engagement that results in better representation more just and compassionate policies, and a healthier political culture." As Christians, we understand that it is often difficult to navigate a highly politically divisive world. The SEID symposium aims to provide clarity on how to address today’s dilemmas with kindness, courage, and unshakable faith. Additionally, the SEID symposium will help equip attendees with a deeper understanding of how individuals may have varying political perspectives depending on their cultural background, personal experiences, and much more. Our goal is for all attendees to learn a gospel-centered view of politics committed to compassion (&) conviction.
Location: Andrews Banquet Room at Biola University
