We live in a divisive political age and it is difficult to navigate the civic sphere with the gentleness and truth God calls us to. Experts Michael Wear and Denise Gitsham will be talking about the communication and formation problems we are facing and then will offer tools for living out the way of Jesus in this polarized age.
Michael Wear is the Founder, President and CEO of the Center for Christianity and Public Life, a nonpartisan, nonprofit institution based in the nation's capital with the mission to contend for the credibility of Christian resources in public life for the public good. He authored The Spirit of Our Politics: Spiritual Formation and the Renovation of Public Life.
Denise Gitsham has worked at the highest levels of the federal government, from the White House to the US Senate, in law firms, for startups and as a candidate for Congress, in addition to her own public affairs consulting firm, as well as serving on numerous boards. She is the author of Politics for People Who Hate Politics: How to Engage without Losing Your Friends or Selling Your Soul.
