The New Student Orientation team is eager to welcome incoming Fall 2024 students and their families to campus. NSO is designed to equip you for a successful start as you transition to Biola as well as connect you and family to campus resources and the Biola community. Attendance is mandatory for all students. Please make plans to attend on these dates:
- Friday, August 30: Programming for new students and families/supporters. It is requested that families say their goodbyes following the last event on Friday.
- Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1: Programming for new students only.
Please note:
- Residence Hall move-in is August 30. You will receive communication from Housing and Residence Life regarding that process.
- You will receive more information about NSO in July and all new students will be assigned an Orientation Student Leader.

New Student Orientation for incoming Spring 2025 students will be Friday, January 10, 2025. New students and their guests are encouraged to attend this day of programming to hear more about student life and academic preparedness as a Biola student. NSO is a good way to get connected before classes begin. See you in January!
Families and Supporters are invited to attend all new student orientation meals and activities. We have a special time set aside for families to connect with other families from 11–12 p.m., but otherwise you will be with your student. There is a closing ceremony for families at 2:30–3 p.m. Family and supporter events end at 3 p.m.

9:30-10:45 a.m. | Student Life Orientation You’ll hear from various departments about what it means to be a member of the Biola community. These departments include- Student Enrichment and Intercultural Development, Student Development, Title IX, Campus Life and Campus Safety with an interactive style presentation. Note: Parents and families are invited to stay for this interactive time. |

11 a.m.-12 p.m. | Academic Orientation – For Incoming Students Only This lively presentation from Biola's Academic Advising department will provide you with vital information that will help you navigate your academic career at Biola. Note: Families are invited to attend Coffee & Conversation in the Collegium during this time. |

11 a.m.-12 p.m. | Coffee & Conversation – For Families and Supporters Parents are families are invited to the beautiful Collegium where you will have the opportunity to mingle with current and new Biola families, get answers to questions from the Family Engagement staff or simply relax. We hope you will walk away from this session with a great understanding of Biola resources, family communication and how you can be involved throughout your student's education. |

Join us as we take you all across campus to see key locations. Bring your class schedule to find the location of all your classes! Parents/Family members are welcome to join. 2:30-3 p.m. | Farewell/Closing Service for Students and Families Times of transition are meaningful and we would not want you to miss the opportunity to reflect on your hopes for the future with time with your family and supporters or for your own personal reflection. Join in this farewell that holds significance and purpose. |
