Joshua Christian Childress is a jazz saxophonist from Los Angeles, California who began his musical journey after picking up the clarinet in the third grade. In high school, Joshua received the Woody Herman Jazz Award after competing in numerous jazz competitions and was the lead clarinet player of his school's wind ensemble. Joshua received his bachelor's degree in music with a concentration in commercial music at Biola University, and is currently working on attaining his master's degree in Jazz Studies at CSU Long Beach. Joshua has gone on to perform for companies such as Converse and DiscoverLA, and has had the opportunity to work with R&B/soul artist Kelly Rowland. Joshua is not only an active performer and teacher but a music producer as well.
