If you have an opportunity to engage in this program, take it! You will grow in ways you did not expect, learn to be with Jesus in the hard places, and see the invitations that God is extending to you in the mundane and glorious things.
How did your program at Biola prepare you for your career?
It helped me to provide more holistic care to my patients and eventually led me on a path to get more training in psychology and mental health. I feel that I can give space and care more compassionately to my patients after the ISF program.
What did you appreciate most about your time at Biola?
I appreciated friendships, cohorts and having a safe space for deconstruction. I also appreciated learning how to retreat and discussing vocations.
How did Biola equip you to be a more faithful follower of Jesus Christ?
It widened my Biblical worldview since I was able to learn from amazing Christ following professors. It also helped me see what it means to be spirit-led in different work spaces.
What advice would you give to students considering your degree program?
Expect the unexpected and surrender to the process. If you have an opportunity to engage in this program, take it! You will grow in ways you did not expect, learn to be with Jesus in the hard places, and see the invitations that God is extending to you in the mundane and glorious things.
