Give to the Benevolent Fund
Through the generosity of Biola parents, the Parent Benevolent Fund provides compassionate assistance to students in emergency situations.
Emily's Story
Biola has over 4,600 undergraduate students — and, realistically, some of our students will encounter the severe illness or death of an immediate family member. When Emily’s*, father became gravely ill, she began driving back and forth between campus and UCLA Medical Center for six weeks, until he sadly passed away. Through assistance from the Parent Benevolent Fund, Emily was able to pay for the gas she needed to get to and from the hospital — lessening her financial burden and allowing her the space to process.
The Parent Benevolent Fund exists to provide compassionate assistance to students like Emily. Through the generous donations of parents and friends, undergraduate students in crisis can receive financial support for one-time needs. Your donation to the Parent Benevolent Fund is tax-deductible and can be made anytime. (Please note that gifts given to a specific student are not eligible for a tax-deduction and cannot be given through the Parent Benevolent Fund.) Thank you for your compassionate gift.
*Please note that the student's name has been changed to protect her privacy.
