Hyatt Moore Collection
Painting began for Hyatt Moore in 1996 after a number of other careers. Beginning as a graphic designer (Art Director at Surfer Magazine for nine years) Hyatt and his wife, Anne, joined Wycliffe Bible Translators in 1972. Over the years they served in Guatemala, Papua New Guinea, Canada as well as US locations. He served in positions from print shop artist to publications editor, communications director, development director, an international vice president, and for five years, President of Wycliffe USA. As an author and book designer he wrote “In Search of the Source,” with Neil Anderson, “The Alphabet Makers,” and “In the Image of God - Faces and Souls that Reflect their Creator.” The latter features many of his paintings and those of other artists. He holds a BA from Dallas Baptist University (“Interdisciplinary”) and an MA from Azusa Pacific University (“Leadership”). A weekend speaker, he raises the challenge of missions, as well as the Christian’s responsibility (and joy) to nurture all talents. He and his wife (also an artist) live in Dana Point, California.
