Accommodations
Partnering for your accessibility
The Office of Student Accessibility (OSA) provides a vast array of ADA care plans and accommodations for students with diagnosed conditions. Here are some types of cases we work with on a daily basis:
- Psychological: OCD, anxiety, depression, PTSD
- Learning: processing disorder, ADHD
- Physical: vision loss, hard of hearing, cerebral palsy
- Medically chronic: autoimmune disease, cancer, heart condition
- Short-term but impactful illness: mono, concussion
We ensure legal compliance with state and federal disability law, providing service to nearly 800 students who choose to disclose and work with us each year. In addition, we aim to cultivate and develop self-advocacy in our students by providing holistic guidance, ADA counsel and life-balance skills. Advocating for student equality and partnering with other departments across campus on the students’ behalf are an integral part of our mission and work.
